I want out
I don’t think the reserve is for me. My first DWE with my unit is tomorrow but in the past few months all I’ve experienced from the reserve is frustration and stress.
- I joined the reserve feb but was not gained til August because for some reason they lost my paperwork. Showed up to one of the drill weekend and had to ask them what’s going on
- NRC does not respond
- They assigned me to a UMUIC across the country and expects me to drill there once a quarter
- Bonus taking forever
I know I can put an effort to fix/get through this but I just don’t want the extra stress in my life. I just want to focus on my civilian career.
I’m thinking of going IRR but my question is: since I haven’t received my bonus does that mean I can just leave? I read somewhere that if there’s no bonus there’s no contract. Is this true?
