Cool Local Non-Profit: The Sing Me a Story Foundation
This is a somewhat unusual post--and thank you to the mods for letting me post it--but I work for an awesome nonprofit called Sing Me a Story. We're based out of East Nashville TN and we get stories from various nonprofits and/or children's hospitals taking care of children facing unfortunate circumstances and ask artists to turn them into songs. The songs are available to listen on our site (https://singmeastory.org/songs). We've been on NBC Nightly News, USA Today, the Today's Show, etc.
We've had some awesome bands/songwriters write songs for us; including Michael Franti, Sister Sadie, Hayes Carll and Brent Cobb just to name a few. But we have quite a few stories on our site that are waiting for songs. If you're looking to do something cool for a kiddo in need, we'd love to have you join us!
If you aren't a songwriter yourself, it helps a TON if you'd like us on Facebook or follow us on Instagram. Thanks for reading! ♡
TL;DR: Awesome music-based nonprofit needs help.
