How did you know you wanted to be a music therapist?
Hi everyone! I'm a twenty one year old college junior at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I am currently a songwriting major, but I've come to the realization that I don't want to do the whole starving artist thing. I want to do something fulfilling that allows me to make a difference. I've had a lot of experience working with kids, and I really enjoy it. This semester I decided to take my school's Intro to Music Therapy class as an elective. I think it's so interesting, and it is probably the best course I've taken here. I have been thinking about getting my equivalency after graduation, but I don't want to jump into something before taking time to fully consider it. I'm definitely going to job shadow and talk to my professor, but I'm curious what your experiences have been.
