Flying from US to Mumbai, self quarantine not required anymore? Please help

I’m flying from US to Mumbai. I will be in Mumbai for less than 7 days. I fly out on 6th day. I called the airport and they informed me there was no quarantine requirement for someone flying in from the US. I want to just make sure & CONFIRM for someone with negative test there was no mandatory 7 or 14 day quarantine requirement and they revised their requirements. Can someone please help! Thanks
