A good piece of film criticism can be incredibly additive to a good or bad film watching experience.

Who are some of the current writers that you look to for interesting, thoughtful reviews on recently released movies?

I’ll typically look to a Roger Ebert review when watching a movie that was released before he passed, as it can usually offer an insightful take, and am looking for some suggestions for more recently released projects. Open to all types of critics but typically prefer to keep things written, video essays can get wonky fast once the algorithm take over. Feel free to share examples as well!
