Dental Checkup Pre op
Hi all, I’m 36 and scheduled for a mitral valve repair in about two weeks, as I’ve had severe regurgitation for a few years, and have been symptomatic since earlier this October.
Just wanted to check - what are they usually on the lookout for during the pre op dental checkup? I’m really worried cause I have had some gum sensitivity and ulcers (which I’m fairly sure are only after the barrage of new meds I’ve been on this month) for the past few days, and I’m hoping none of this delays my surgery. I’ve had a regular dental cleaning etc done about a year ago and nothing was really out of the ordinary or needed fillings.
Thanks for any input!
