stunned by the results
we cultured the bacteria before and after washing our hands with soap and using an alcohol disinfectant.
the first half is before handwashing.
the right half of the lower half is after handwashing and disinfecting.
the left half of the lower half is the bacteria under my nails.
mind you, my nails are short to medium and they look very clean. i dug a toothpick and tried to pick up a lot of debris from underneath in the hopes of a clear result but i didn’t expect this.
literally cancelled my nail appointment for tomorrow. my professor told me this is a pathogen and that i should keep my nails short. this isn’t normal. that’s weird because i do wash my hands quite frequently.
anyways, i was quite amused (and disturbed xD) so i decided to share this here :’))
