LongFast AND precise location sharing?

iOS running a Heltec V3 with latest stable firmware and a GT-U7 GPS module. When I have the default LongFast set to channel 0 I am only able to share approximate location data (within 0.9 miles) that gets broadcast regularly. Perfect, no problem there. However, I am not able to see precise location data between my two nodes while they share a private channel on channel 1. That channel is set to allow precise location sharing but doesn't show anything different than on LongFast. Is this impossible to do? I want access to the public channel, but more than anything I want to see precise location data between my nodes.
