can i show a picture of my drivers licence to purchase alcohol?

i’ve left my drivers licence at a friends house and won’t be able to get it back for a couple of weeks.

long story short, i wanted to purchase some alcohol but i don’t have my id on me.

i do have a photo of my licence, and when going to an 18+ venue they accepted it, but i don’t want to get in trouble for looking dodgy rocking up with just a photo at a liquorland or dan murphy’s. thoughts??

i am on the lower end in my 20s so asking for my id is a given. any other ways i can prove my age without having my physical licence on me? TIA
