I'm confused about the story & context...

Does anybody knos the story of Marvel Rivals yet?

Ngl, Marvel Rivals' story is kinda confusing to me. As in, are NONE of these guys the real deal? Are they ALL variants of whatever the main universe is in *Marvel Rivals' corner of the multiverse??

I'm assuming that's the case because based on the one interactions with Peni, or SP//DR, mistaking Spider-Man for a different Peter Parker (most likely the "main" universe one). Then there is the dialgoue where Spider-Man is chatting about Panther ruling an intergalactic Wakanda so casually, AS IF THAT WAS EVER A THING IN THE MAIN COMICS. Odd interactions like this lead me to believe that NONE of the characters are the main versions of themselves.

Come to think of it, if that were the case, that might actually explain ALL of the weird default designs & how all of them are NOT 1:1 comic-accurate.
