First ever batch

Nine gallons of sap down to this. Tried using the hydrometer but it wouldn’t ever float. Not sure if user error or what. Stopped the boil when the temperature hit 220 degrees.

Tastes great!

Very light color and not very viscous but maybe the viscosity will increase as it cools?

Any thoughts on?

Super fun. Let’s see if the sap keeps flowing for a second batch!
