On the edge!

I plan in getting a 16 inch next week i am in the software world more freelance related and i also use xcode for app development plus some blender and adobe for promotional advertising stuff i am curious if 96 gb will give me noticeable performance relative to me and work. I also want to keep the same machine for a long period(5 years ) for sustainable reasons. Please give advice
