40% reduction in scheduled trip pay
They will say it is $53 an hour pay... Let's be real, it's 35 minutes, minimum. Most likely 40 minutes. For $4.44. It's $8.80 - 10 an hour. Meanwhile it's $16-35 cost to the passenger.
Lyft is not going to be able to handle airport trips if they pull this shit leading into Thanksgiving, I feel so bad for passengers.
Scheduled trips used to play a key part in my system but they've absolutely destroyed that experience, between never actually getting a trip request on the way to cratering pay. Pathetic.
I LOVE doing this work, especially in D.C. with the ability to interact with people from all social, political, geographic, etc circles. But, it's definitely not fulfilling enough to put in all the time and wear on the car and my body for $9 an hour before expenses. And I only do it part time, usually for more interaction with others....I don't know how people could possibly make even remotely close to a living doing it now, full time.
