Sisi ni sawa - unexpected Pachelbel's canon reference?

So I was trying to hum along the bass line of "sisi ni sawa", and then it struck me. This sounds familiar. Where have I heard this before ...

The chord progression of the verses is actually that of Pachelbel's canon! You can even sing the verses along with the canon.

I guess this continues the tradition of referencing classical works in TLK-related music.

Other note about the song: Is it unintended or intentional irony that Jasiri Kion sings "You have spots and I have a mane.", when both of them have spots and both of them have a mane?
