Why does linkedin completely ignore location in job recommendations?
" Recommended for you, Based on your profile and search history"
Every. fucking. one. is. thousands. of. miles. away. every. time.
I've set my location, I've searched exclusively many, many times for my state, have said in my profile I'm open to work that is remote or in my state, and still, nothing but relocation jobs.
I've never once seen it recommend a local job. They are being posted too, I'm not searching for "clown juggling on the moon," it's not running out of suggestions. And "No jobs found" would be more helpful than "Here are a thousand jobs to destroy your family with."
I've submitted feedback on dozens of those jobs saying no to San Francisco, but they still keep coming back.
How do I get it to stop telling me to move?
