Sub point of debate; everyone has a right to defend themselves or thier property but please don't advocate for harm onto anyone

While self-defense is a fundamental right, advocating for harm or violence toward others is a dangerous step that contradicts the very principles we stand for. We cannot ignore the reality that harm, whether physical, emotional, or psychological, only perpetuates cycles of violence and destruction.

As liberals, we emphasize justice, equality, and the protection.

Yet We must be careful not to justify the infliction of harm, even in moments of fear or anger, and work toward systems that prioritize non-violent conflict resolution. It’s important to acknowledge that while self-defense is necessary in some situations, it should always be measured, proportionate, and focused on stopping harm rather than escalating it.

At the heart of our values is the belief in a society where conflicts are resolved through peaceful, constructive means. The idea of protecting oneself should always be accompanied by a deep commitment to justice and compassion. Encouraging harm or violence only undermines these values and increases the risk of creating a more violent and divided society.

Rather than advocating for harm, we should focus on ways to support communities in resolving disputes peacefully, supporting justice, and promoting LOVE. Protecting yourself is a right but promoting violence is not.
