Packing Titanic for Long Distance Move

I finished Lego Titanic about two years ago, and it’s been a beautiful conversation piece in our living room. Welp, we just found out we have to move to another city in June for my husband’s work, and I’m at a total loss on how to pack it without it getting destroyed in transit. I thought of buying one of those display cases for it and adding packing peanuts to cushion it, then putting Titanic and case in the box the case came in, but those cases are NOT cheap. Has anyone else ever solved this problem or have any suggestions around it?
