$15,000 in condo fees

I currently live in a condo in Calgary, Alberta. Our condo board charges us our monthly condo fees of $629. Recently we got a bill from our board stating that we owe $15,000 from random “charge back maintenance” fees. All the charges seem to be random amounts ranging between $1,600-$4,900. We’ve had no maintenance done in our condo and the building has had a single pipe replaced due to a leak. All the invoice says is “charge back maintenance” and doesn’t elaborate in any way. We’ve tried to contact the building, however they usually take 5-7 days to reply. We’re trying to get an itemized bill and/or the invoice for these maintenance fees to be able to tell what they are for. Should I contact a lawyer?
