just bought a used car from a dealership, and it's needed to be brought back 4 or 5 times for the same problem.
hey guys, I have a car dealership reimbursement inquiry. a few months ago I purchased a used honda civic from a dealership, which came with a 2 month new york state warranty, as well as a 1 year extended warranty that I paid for. since I bought it ive had to bring it back to the dealership for the same problem (leaking and slipping transmission) 4 or 5 times. i believe the first 2 were within the lemon law period but i dont think the 3rd was (id have to do the math, one of my recipes is in the car, at the dealership so i cant atm) and the total time in the shop did not exceed 15 days. (at least not during the first 2 months) although i am curious about wether or not it meets the requirements to be considered a lemon, my main question is if i could bring them to small claims or something in order to be reimbursed for all the money that I had to spend on uber rides due to the amount of times I had to bring it back to the dealership. riding uber probably cost me in total at least a grand, and they told me they had no loaner vehicle's and said they would not reimburse me for a rental. its in the shop now and assured me they would actually get to the bottom of whats causing the problems before I get the car back, but I just cant afford paying for this car while also ubering to and from work everyday. any advice is appreciated, and i will make an edit to include dates and times from all the receipts. thank you.
