A hypothetical that could be a reality.

As per title. In canada. Family has been renting the same house for 30 some years.

Landlords are from another country and visit the house about 2 months of the year.

Now for the hypothetical. They are in their late 80s. And well off financially. They have no immediate family.

Now when they kick the bucket. What becomes of the house if there is no will? And my fam is still living in the house?
