AP Math Plan
i'm in 9th grade and currently thinking about ap classes. i've already applied for ap seminar and apush to take in 10th grade, still waiting to see if i get in. i'm taking algebra i right now, but i know a lot of it already from 8th grade and want to advance in math. i've started quickly going through algebra i on khan academy and i plan on going through geometry as well so that i already have some understanding of it.
i want to either take geometry over the summer this year so that i can take algebra ii in 10th grade, or i could also take geometry in 10th grade and take algebra iiover the summer. which would you guys suggest doing over the summer? is geometry or algebra ii significantly easier than the other? i assume i should take the easier one over the summer, since whichever course i take over the summer will be sped up.
im aiming to do this so that in 11th grade i can be eligible to take ap precalc, then in 12th grade i can take ap calc ab/bc or ap statistics. i'm majoring in culinary arts in high school, and i plan on majoring in business in college. i'm assuming ap statistics would be better to take? would ap statistics be more helpful for a business major than ap calc ab/bc? in 11th and 12th grade, i'm also required to take an elective class, and one of the options is a probability & statistics course, so could i take that instead of ap stats so that i could also take ap calc ab/bc?
heres a description on the probability & statistics course: "Probability & Statistics introduces students to the basic concepts and logic of statistical reasoning and gives the students introductory-level practical ability to choose, generate, and properly interpret appropriate descriptive and inferential methods"
