effects of quickplay for new players

i am coming back to this game after a long break and i just found out about quickplay, it really cut a big chunk of time needed to play the game compared to the old way but it makes me wonder, i feel like for new players (assuming they are going to play ranked) quickplay do not train them to be ready for ranked as good as blind pick because in blind pick you get to taste a little communication and decision making with the team (even though not always) about which champion to pick in a very short time. a skill necessary for ranked draft pick.

i think it could be overwhelming for new players transitioning from quickplay straight to draft pick
