Mixing small amounts of fuel for 2-stroke equipment
I've largely transitioned away from gas powered equipment at this point. Ego mower, trimmer, blower, etc. have been great. However, I still have my Stihl 2-stroke gas blower and am planning to keep it around for use a couple times a year (if that) for mega-fall-cleanup, etc.
It doesn't really make sense for me to premix and store 50:1 fuel mix anymore. It's just going to go bad by the time I use it. What is everyone in this situation doing to ensure fuel freshness? I'm wondering if I need to just get a pipette and a beaker and mix up tiny amounts each time I use the blower? Are there any products out there that make this sort of thing easy?
I am planning on keeping some fresh unleaded gas around for use in my wood chipper and a portable generator. That's easy enough to keep fresh by using stabilizer and rotating through my supply via the car gas tank, etc.
