Moving to Chicago - but scared
My husband, 6mo baby and I are about to leave the BYU hub and move away to Chicago bc of a job offer. We don't have it yet, but we find out later this week. Anyways - a large part of deciding to accept it is going to be based on (revelation of course) but also if we can manage Chicago as an ok place to raise our new family. Neither of us have been away from Utah besides our missions and so we are used to visiting family often and are frankly worried about moving to such a different lifestyle and place. It feels dangerous and I'm worried I will end up staying inside with locked doors every single day.
Anyone from Chicago who could calm my fears? Anyone from Chicago who could validate my fears?😂
Any advice from people who have moved away from family with young babies?
Edit: Thank you guys for all the responses! I feel much less worried now, y'all helped me see that it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. I really have felt the push from God to be okay doing something like this, and so moving forward with faith is what I will do (: Now we wait to see if he got the job haha.
