SEOUL, March 27 (Yonhap) -- The family of late actress Kim Sae-ron on Thursday released what they claimed to be evidence supporting their claims that the actress dated actor Kim Soo-hyun while she was underage.

Bu Ji-seok of law firm Buyou, the family's legal representative, presented it while criticizing the actor for "lying" about the relationship.

The reconstructed messages, disclosed to the media during a press conference in southern Seoul, date back to 2016 when she was a minor.

The KakaoTalk messages exchanged between the two include phrases like "Miss you," "Wanna hug" and heart emojis. She was 15 years old at that time.

Also revealed were an unsent letter she wrote to him last year and a photo of her engaging in self-harm.

"We were together about five to six years," she wrote in the letter. "I hope you don't avoid me as you are my first and last love," the letter continued.

Kim Soo-hyun, the star of the mega-hit TV series "Queen of Tears," has been at the center of controversy since March 10, when the allegations were first raised by a YouTube channel and the actress' family. Since then, both sides have exchanged claims and counterclaims.

Earlier this week, Kim filed a lawsuit against Kim Se-ui, the operator of the channel, Hoverlab, for blackmail, following a previous legal complaint against him and the actress' family for sharing a photo of him taken from behind without trousers.

The actor initially denied dating the late actress but later admitted to their romantic relationship, claiming it began after she became an adult.

At the press conference, Bu also warned of legal action against another YouTuber, Lee Jin-ho, who has uploaded a series of videos about the actress.

"YouTuber Lee Jin-ho has continued to expose Kim Sae-ron's private life. We will file a complaint against him for stalking the bereaved family later today," he said.

The lawyer, however, said the family "no longer wants meaningless disputes over the truth after this conference," and that the release of private messages and photos was necessary to counter claims made by Lee and put an end to what he described as a negative smear campaign against the late actress.
