first block!

so im a new knitter and im working on my 2nd project. (a little shoulder bag i found on the internet) i made the 2 main parts and i decided to research how to block them so i could sew them together.

it was very confusing and everyone was saying all kinds of different things but i decided on steaming the acrylic yarn. i burnt myself in the process (dw it wasnt bad) but i think it turned out okay for a first try and im very excited to start assembling them together!!

what do you think?
