My new, warm kitchen after the remodel from hell!
My house was built in the 1960s and I believe the cabinets were original from them with updated countertops and backsplash at some point. The house had a living/dining space added on in the last 20-30 years so it was an awkward space and opening up this wall was a game changer. When I first moved in, I painted the existing kitchen while I saved up and planned for the true remodel. It was truly the remodel from hell (pipes bursting causing flooding, no power for three months, a break in, contractor bankruptcy…) but we’re finally done and I’m in love! White oak veneer cabinets from IKEA to match my white oak herringbone floors and Taj Mahal quartzite make this the warm kitchen of my dreams!
