Think keto made my hair change

30F here, did keto from 2018-2019 seriously and in short bursts over the last 6 years or so, currently following it strictly for some minor medical issues.

Since I've been back on keto, I've noticed a significant change in my hair. No loss or shedding, but my ponytails are thicker (which I know is a result of increased protein intake) and my hair also went from being dry, brittle and somewhat coarse to soft and silky. I still use the same shampoo and conditioner and wash my hair as frequently as I always have, but this is different. Could it be the result of an increase in animal fat? Hormone balancing? Anything else?

I've also noticed that the few times I do skip a wash day, my hair and skin are noticeably less oily/greasy, which is a plus.
