Recently new player 27 hours

I got a pc for Christmas and one of the first games i played was squad. New entirely to keyboard learning curve but I’m getting there. Before I got squad I saw videos and it just looked to me like a semi realistic but fun game and that’s the perfect balance. However I do get kills but not a lot. My kd must be shocking. Not trying to be a KD warrior as it doesn’t really matter at all I just actually want to live and not be useless. I seem to kill more people with pistols than my rifle. Anyway does anyone have any tips on what scopes to use more often cause I’ll run in a field and I’ll go to aim and I can’t even keep my scope steady any basic tips in general would be appreciated.
