Ideas for this cramped entryway?
I would love to walk into our house and feel like I'm entering a well-designed space... right now it's such a mish-mash (or straight up mess.)
As far as decoration, we intend to replace the moravian star lamp. The family photos are important to us but could be displayed with more consideration. The artwork was just haphazardly hung and feels like an afterthought because it is. I'd love to add some plants, but the sunlight is minimal.
The house is 100+ years old so it's on the cozy side, and there is very little storage (no front closet, for example). Because of this, our entryway is in constant disarray. The hallway is 4ft wide, but the space at the base of the stairs is only 3ft. We have lots of vertical space that I feel I'm not making the most use of, including the long wall (with the santa decoration). We are a family of 4 (two elementary age kids) so we mainly need to store jackets/coats, hats/mittens, shoes/boots, backpacks and purses. Any ideas are welcome and appreciated!
