Felt poor at gym

I am a gym trainer in Mumbai. Today while training a newbie he asked how much I make. I told him that I only get 10k per month and 2k for PT clients. He started making weird faces and at one point it felt like he was making fun of my low salary. I told this him in confidence but I guess these days people only want to get the content and not conversations. Anyways I will ask for a raise in my next appraisal cycle. Hope everything goes well.
