My neighbor confessed her feelings towards me but I am already in a relationship

What’s up everyone! I’m from Bangalore, lived here for quite some time now. I am from Assam originally, but I never lived there.

So I live in a gated community on the outskirts of Bangalore. Yesterday, while I was taking my car out from the garage, my neighbor, who I generally greet, came up to me and told me they have rescued a puppy and were looking for a home. I told her I can check with my friends if they wanted to adopt, so she can ask her mom to send the pictures to my mom but she said instead of that she’ll take my number and she will send it to me.

While taking my number she told me that she thinks I’m really cute and that she had a crush on me ever since she moved here. I said thank you, sent her a hi on WhatsApp and left since I was getting late.

Later, during a conversation on WhatsApp, I told her I have a girlfriend but my brother is single. She started apologising a lot and she started calling herself stupid etc. my response to that was

“You’re very brave and bold for confessing your feelings, but you didn’t know I was already in a relationship. Please don’t be discouraged to ask out another guy, but just try to find out if the guy is single or not.”

It was the second time in my life a girl came up to me confessed that she likes me without me giving any sort of hints. The first time was literally 3 years ago, I know girls go through this a lot but being a guy, it’s very rare for us.
