Help with an itinerary from Delhi to Dharamsala

Hi, I'm off to India at the end of next week for the first time, to take part in an international workcamp in Dharamshala. I've chosen to come a week earlier than the start date of my workcamp (it begins on 14 July and I'm arriving on the 7th), to take the time to visit a few places. Do you have any tips or suggestions for places to visit between Delhi and Dharamshala in less than a week? Thank you very much! :)
