Kantara (2022) is overrated

Before everyone grabs their pitchforks i have to say the direction and acting from Rishab Shetty is phenomenal. But that's it the story is the most cliche story I've seen a lot in south indian movies. Bad guy being nice then shows his true colours by being comically evil then beats the hero only to give a nice evil generic monologue instead of killing the hero only for the hero to gain strength and defeat him. You could see this from a mile away. I haven't seen one bad review for this movie so far. In my town where the ticket prices are usually 50-70 rupees people were willing to buy a ticket for 1k and still couldn't get a ticket. With all the hype from internet i was expecting something that isn't so generic. This is a movie that doesn't deserve to be the highest rated Indian movie on IMDb. And don't get me started on how the hero creeps on the heroine while she's taking a bath without her knowledge is supposed to be somehow romantic. I'm not saying it's a bad movie bit it's really not that good as people claim it to be. People will hate me for this but remember it's just an opinion.
