[SPOILERS] Do NOT Watch Madaari. This Is Coming From An Irrfan And Shergill Fan.

So I booked today morning's show with my parents. Thinking I'd have the ultimate experience for an ultimate movie (I dig Irrfan Khan), I went for that platinum gold class whatever, where you have those recliners.

Came out super disappointed and bored. Contemplated leaving the movie hall at interval, but the recliner was super comfy and I decided I'd give a shot at the 2nd half. But the 2nd half was even more disappointing, and just ..boring. Boring is the word.

Trust me, don't watch the movie. While the theme is decent (but not novel), it has been super poorly written and directed. It's just about Irrfan Khan kidnapping home minister's son, in retaliation to his own son being killed in a bridge collapse (Recall the kolkata incident). Then throughout the movie they have cheesy long flashbacks of Irrfan Khan and his son spending good times together and having breakfast and sharing moral gyaan and packing tiffin box and playing cricket, football and sleeping on a bed and all other excrutiating details which almost reminded me of paranormal activity. Then they show his wife in America who left him God knows why (complete offshoot to main story). At the end of the movie, Irrfan is like I wanna have a word with the folks responsible for his son's death (i.e. home minister and the govt's associated bridge contractors). They all gullibly walk into Irrfan's house along-with a reporter who covers it live, admit that they're corrupt and movie ends. Oh I almost forgot ..the unfathomable jaw dropping twist is revealed that Jimmy Shergill (lead cop investigating home minister's son's case) has coordinated the whole charade to arrange a meet between Irrfan and HM. Okay whatever I guess.

Such a boring I have even lost interest in typi
