More big re-releases this year?
Given the TREMENDOUS success of the Interstellar IMAX re-release, and the fact that some IMAX theaters/screens are already soft-re-releasing (as in - not a wide release and it wasn't announced like the first re-release was, but seemingly sildenly adding showtimes in the background) and STILL almost selling out, it seems VERY likely that we will see some big IMAX re-releases this year, particularly from Nolan. Maybe not Oppenheimer (sadly) since it's such a new release, but likely The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk, and maybe Nope (not Nolan). However, I'm still relatively new to the movie theater release schedule world (I've only been really 'invested' for about a year now), so I want to ask the people who have been following this stuff for a while noww.
How do we feel about the odds of this happening? Am I nuts? Too hopeful? Or do you agree with me that it seems likely?
