Fibroids: Weight Gain, High BP & Post-Op Tummy

Looking for feedback from fellow fibroid sufferers. After abdominal swelling for about 9-12 months & what felt like a swollen organ, an ultrasound revealed a 10 cm fibroid in July.

I gained 16 lbs. between my 2021-2022 annual physicals--the most I've gained in a year (except for when I was pregnant). Prior to, I'd been gradually gaining weight the last 10-15 years. I'll be 50 in March & attributed the weight gain to hormonal changes (before I knew about the fibroid). It could also be my Mirena that was put in last December to lighten my periods.

I've been hypotensive my whole life. My average BP reading over the last 10 years is 110/70 (I have an spreadsheet to track) But I've noticed it's creeped up in the last 2 years. My average top # is closer 120. I'm wondering if it could be related to the my fibroids?

Lastly, I'm wondering if people who got a hysterectomy due to fibroids had a less swollen abdomen after healing from surgery. I'd like to not look perpertually 4 months pregnant.

If any of this is relatable for for others with fibroids, I'd love to hear your feedback. Thank you!
