Traditional/Colonial Architecture in Houston?

Obviously, it’s no surprise that the architecture of homes in the Rice Village area and surrounding are absolutely gorgeous. I love the historical charm that they have. However, it seems that every neighborhood on the outskirts of Houston are very “cookie-cutter” or are “McMansions”. Are there any neighborhoods on the outskirts of Houston that have this style of architecture?
