Dracaena marginata

Hi I have this Dracaena marginata(?) that my cat likes to chew on. Last year it was got bare so I left it out in the summer time, it grew back some leaves so has the will to go on, but its very lanky. What's the best way to get it to branch out? If I make multiple cuttings from the bare stem where I've marked out in yellow, will they all root and grow new foliage? Any help would be appreciated! I did find a location that my cat won't get to so I'm determined to get the plant to look good.
