Please help me

Was trying to get the clutch lever off so I tried rotating the smaller adjuster nut thing and it ended up rotating the whole cable along with the larger locking nut in front of it. The two nuts seems to be attached to eachother and moving one of them moves the whole thing. Despite my best efforts of holding one nut in place and trying to crack the other nut free from it they just wont come apart. Anyone know what i should do? Thanks
