Hue bulbs are insanely overpriced and not worth the money

I know that's a hot take here but it's true.

$50 a bulb is pure insanity yet I still see these recommended in every thread about bulbs.

If you want full color ZigBee bulbs you can get 4 packs of Third Reality bulbs for $30. You can get them even cheaper if you catch them on a sale.

I have these in every socket in my house and they work perfectly. Visually you cannot tell the difference between one of these and a hue bulb.

This isn't an ad for these bulbs I just get frustrated seeing people recommend these insanely expensive light bulbs while much cheaper alternatives exist.

Edit: lots of downvotes from people who spent way way way too much for light bulbs. The copium is strong but I knew this post would rustle a lot of jimmies.

Edit 2: so now I know there a hue fanboys and they apparently have more money than sense. Yikes
