Anyone else skip a grade and feel like it messed them up?

I missed my first year of high school due to various ~traumatic events~ and then when I started my second year, I did some assignments and they offered to put me up a grade. So I agreed. This basically meant I had to learn 3 years of content in 1 year. I did well, but it messed me up socially and in terms of my work ethic and expectations of myself. Granted, my precociousness was partly being a bit clever, but it was moreso the trauma response of a scared kid who needed help. I wish adults had seen that, rather than just wanting to make me into something they could show off about! Anyone relate at all?
