Multiple Multipowers

I remember in 5th ed that you could pay a +5 points doubling cost to get extra foci that a Multipower pool was in. I can't see anything similar in the 6th Ed rules. for example I had a character who had two elemental pistols. I bought a MPP as a focus for a single and then paid 5 points to get a second pistol.

Does anyone know if this still exists in 6th ed and where in the books it is stated?
