Is there anybody here using ultrasound extraction?

There are lots of studies showing the effectiveness of ultrasound techniques for the extraction of bioactive compounds from plant and animal materials. Long story short:

"Ultrasonic waves generate cavitation bubbles in the extraction medium, which implode and create high temperatures and pressures. These forces disrupt cell walls, release intracellular compounds, and enhance the mass transfer of target compounds into the solvent."

According to the literature the improvements on the speed and effectiveness of extraction is quite significant.

Is anybody here playing with this method? While the ultrasound immersion probe seems to be more efficient it is expensive. The ultrasound bath machine is readily available and relatively inexpensive.
