New Warranty Procedure or….

Had a couple of warranties to get done today.

Grabbed the replacements and went to the register.

Gave my phone number and they looked up my purchase history, refunded me for the warranty items (on a gift card cause it was an old card)

Then rang up the items. Which came out to be about $12 more expensive. (Bought the other items with coupons and I guess the price had gone up since last purchase)

I then had to pay the difference to get the warranty items. I asked if this was done correctly cause I didn’t understand why I owed anything in what should just be a swap out… was told this is the only way to do it.

New policy??? In the past they just exchanged the broken tools and didn’t need anything from me.
