Quince Bags Review + Bags I’ve been carrying recently

Was in a bag rut and needed go branch out! I’ve always been a sucker for a black boxy bag (the boxier the better) and needed a change/got called out on my purse choices by my mother 😬

I’m on more of a low-mid range budget thanks to having another child recently ($8,000 with insurance). I had some luck with clothing from quince and decided to give their bags a go. I ordered the Italian Leather Patchwork Crossbody in cognac (branching out from black!) and the Italian Handwoven Leather Mini Shoulder Bag in black (but not branching out too far).

Thoughts - the patchwork bag feels a little like plastic? I also think it holds a little less than I expected. Not the end of the world. I’m still keeping/carrying it but I wasn’t wowed. This bag also arrived incredibly fast in just a couple days. Sort of wish I had ordered it in black but the cognac is a nice neutral!

The mini shoulder bag took longer to arrive - almost a week and a half. I think it was stuck in India? The leather here doesn’t feel as plastic as the patchwork bag and is very soft. I love the look when it’s a little more slouchy. Very excited to try carrying this one soon but still taking the patchwork bag for a spin. Looks like this one holds more than I expected which is a nice plus! It definitely doesn’t feel “mini.”

Before these bags, my true love was/still is for boxy black bags. The fact that the two I’ve been using are from Michael Kors is more of a coincidence than brand loyalty. The smaller one has been my ride or die and carries so much. Otherwise, for the last few months (aka, after I was called out by my lovely mother) I’ve been carrying a Rebecca Minkoff Micro Perry satchel in “dragonfruit.” This was purchased back in 2016 when I had no clue how problematic she was as a person. Thankfully the branding on the bag is super small.
