Can we talk about the Alvarez Dana Scoop guitar?
I've sometimes reminisced about how weird the Alvarez Dana Scoop guitar was -- it was the height of peak 80s shredder bullshit guitar design at its finest/worst. I wondered -- was there ever really a need to be able to get the heel of your palm BEHIND where the strings vibrate? Was there some technique involving wrapping your whole hand around the 24th fret? And how many of these had the neck snap off mid-solo? Why did this exist?
Now I see on eBay that there's a 2025 model for sale?!?!? THEY'RE STILL MAKING THESE?!?? 🤯
