Just Noticed in S08E03 Bailey Says Richard Webber Was Chief of Surgery for 11 Years

In S08E03, Take the Lead, at around 12 minutes into the episode, Arizona, Bailey, and Teddy are sitting in a break room together, discussing Chief Webber's sudden resignation as chief of surgery.

Arizona: Oh, it's so sad. I mean, how many years was he chief for?

Bailey: Eleven.

Season 8 is MAGIC's fifth and final year as surgical residents. We all know the timeline is totally fucked. MAGIC's intern year is 2006 to 2007. So, year five would start in 2010. Therefore, Richard Webber likely became chief of surgery in 1999.

Just wanted to post this for anyone who is utterly fascinated by the totally bananas timeline of Grey's Anatomy like I am. I did a search of the subreddit to see if there are any posts that mentioned this, and I didn't find anything.
