How to find independent personal trainers?

Hi there,

I’m interested in getting into weightlifting, but I want to do it right. The schedule of classes at GRCC is prohibitive, and when I look at places like Planet Fitness everything seems to be group classes.

What I’d really like is to spend some intensive time with someone for a short time while I develop an understanding of my strengths, weaknesses, a base of knowledge and a routine. Then I think I’d be able to check in weekly or twice a month to check form, get recommendations for changing the routine(s), etc.

I’m highly motivated and disciplined - I’m a professional musician, so extended periods of time doing individual work and taking criticism are literally my job.

I’m not looking to get jacked or anything, just want to start taking better care of myself as I approach middle age.
