Rejection after in-person interview at Scripps, anyone else?

I just got an email rejecting me from Scripps for a Chemistry PhD and I am a little surprised. I was under the impression that nearly everyone that they flew out to visit ended up getting accepted. The whole visit weekend they acted like we were already in. Has anyone else experience a rejection after the in-person interview? Hoping this information can be helpful to applicants in the future.
